Notes: This print is part of the first five print made of the series.
Original: 1st state. Known as the All blue (or pure Aizuri-e), an all blue print using the freshly new arrived color from Europe: the Prussian Blue.
In a first attempt to colorize this print, yet still being an "all Blue" comes this later edition with a hint of yellow added to the blue for turning the ground greenish, the ocean being navy blue, and the jersey, top of the Mt Fuji ( Keyblock) is almost dark gray, as seen below:

2nd State: known as the blue outline. It has added colors (Green, and salmon) and lack the kiwame seal on the lower left corner. The sunset is now salmon colored. 3 originals from different sources.
Later edition of this print have a salmon upper sky as seen below:

3rd State: known as the black Outline. It differs from the blue outline, as the main key block uses black ink instead of blue ink. The difference is obvious when looking at the lines around the title

The paper is thin like an edo era print, but the paper is different from the original. Later editions of this replica has a thicker paper. Estimated Value: Ref # 36V15c
